Meet Frank

Frank CoppolaMy name is Frank Coppola MA, ODC, ACG and I have a passion for personal and professional coaching, with a specialization in people with ADD. I find it gratifying working with adults – parents, entrepreneurs, couples and educators – with and without ADD. I believe firmly that the only thing wrong with ADD is not knowing you have it!

Once properly diagnosed and properly coached, people with ADD have unique advantages waiting to be appreciated by themselves and others.

“Sometimes the easiest things in life are the hardest to understand especially with ADD. Through my work with Frank, I discovered who I always wanted to be . . .me! -Dirk C., Contractor, Minneapolis, MN

I am an ADD Benefit’s Coach & Trainer.  In a world designed by people with invisible challenges like ADD, we can sometimes feel misplaced.  I love helping others understand and appreciate how their “unique brain wiring” can actually be their strongest friend and ally.  We work together to uncover your talents and maximize your strengths so you can take full advantage and benefit from your ADD.

As your coach, I am here to add perspective and assist you to develop your unique gifts to effect positive change. I can think of no greater reward than inspiring you through coaching to go beyond where you believe you are stopped.  As you know, the person with ADD confronts issues dealing with inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity.  My coaching focus addresses these issues in an educational, nurturing, connected and open manner.

Education holds the keys to understanding how ADD affects our lives while communication allows us to harvest our dreams through language.  I work diligently to show you the skills needed to remember your dreams and to be able to communicate more effectively with your family, your children, at work and above all yourself to reduce stress. I am especially attuned to the parents of children with ADD.

I’ve been coaching for as long as I can remember, actually before I knew it was called coaching.  My own discovery of ADD/ADHD late in life led me to study at The ADD Coaching Academy.   I was coached to discover and appreciate my own unique talents and turn them into strengths.  With this realization I formed The ADD Coaching Group. I utilize a unique network of support I’ve developed over my 20 year career in business, communication, education and entertainment.  I hold a Masters in Education from New York University and completed a 5 year PhD-level program in organizational development through the Ontogological Design Course (ODC).  For 8 years, I taught for the NYC Board of Education teaching students to explore their creativity, imagination, processing and essential learning skills through film, music, math and reading.

Whether working on a one-on-one or with groups, I love developing strategies for increasing productivity and effectiveness.  One of my goals is to help you feel less chaotic and more focused. I bring all my experience and knowledge of these various disciplines to each and every coaching session.

My personal philosophy is: “Benefit with ADD!” We all can learn how to develop our strengths and benefit from our uniqueness. The only thing wrong with ADD/ADHD is not knowing you have it. Once correctly diagnosed and properly coached, people with ADD have unique advantages waiting to be appreciated by themselves and others.

On weekends, I enjoy spending time with my partner Diane, family and friends, my dogs, Gracie and Poochy, singing, playing the piano, guitar, electric bass, inhaling movies or cooking great Italian food from his upcoming book, “The History of the Coppola Kitchens: Great Recipes From The Bronx.”
